About Nicole Tows
Nicole is a painter and photographer currently living and working in Alberta, where the vast wilderness, abundant wildlife, and outdoor traditions deeply influence their work.
Growing up with a father who has an avid fisherman and hunter, and now her husband continues the family tradition.
With a Fine Arts degree since 2016 and a strong foundation in photography, Nicole brings a trained visual sensibility to both their canvas and lens. Photography often serves as a starting point for their paintings—capturing fleeting moments in the wild that are later transformed into expressive portraits of animals and scenes inspired by hunting and fishing culture.
Whether behind the camera or in front of the easel, Nicole aims to honor the wild, the way of life it inspires, and the people who live it.
Nicole currently resides in Camrose city, Alberta, with her growing family
